The National City Investment Group, a locally owned, privately held real estate investment company, recently broke ground on Market View, a 120-unit multifamily residential community located at 303 Highland Ave. in National City. The development will transform an underutilized parking lot adjacent to Manolo Farmers Market, which has served National City for more than 33 years, into a residential community. Market View is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2028.

“By bringing much-needed housing to National City, the National City Investment Group is helping create a more vibrant, walkable community that supports local businesses, and contributes to the continued revitalization of the area,” said Paul Najar, EVP, Gafcon PM-CM LLC, which is providing real estate advisory and project management services for the development.

Designed by RDC with R.D. Olson Construction serving as the general contractor and McCullough Landscape Architecture handling landscape design, Market View will offer workforce housing in three distinct residential buildings linked by open space, pedestrian connectivity and Manolo Farmers Market.
