Fiera Capital and the Canadian District of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America have launched an $800-million infrastructure and real estate investment platform.

The initial funding commitments will be split evenly between infrastructure and real estate, with a goal of surpassing $1 billion in assets within three years. The platform is designed to deliver stable returns while generating long-term jobs for the union’s members, with all projects built using unionized labour.

Fiera Infrastructure will oversee investments in social and civil infrastructure, transportation and renewable energy, while Fiera Real Estate will manage urban, multi-residential and industrial projects. Investments will prioritize greenfield developments in housing and essential public infrastructure.

Headquartered in Montreal, Fiera Capital is a global asset manager with offices in North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
