Altus Group is conducting a strategic review that could result in a sale or merger of the business, the company announced.

The announcement came after The Globe and Mail, along with Reuters, reported that the Toronto-based commercial real estate analytics firm is exploring a sale. Both the Globe and Reuters based their reports on comments from unidentified sources

The review, which the firm undertakes periodically to maximize stakeholder value, also includes potential acquisitions and divestitures, said Altus.

Altus noted that there is no assurance the process will lead to any specific action and said it will only provide updates as required under regulatory obligations.
