OHT Partners broke ground on The Barton, a 402-unit multifamily community on more than 60 acres in Southwest Austin.

Located at 8956 W. State Highway 71, The Barton will feature a mix of three-story garden-style buildings and two-story townhomes with more than 40 acres designated as green space. Design features include large floor plans, private yards and tuck-under garages.

The Barton will include one-, two- and three-bedroom residences ranging from 702 to 1,584 square feet. Thirty residences will be townhomes, while select units will feature private yards and tuck-under garages.

Community amenities will include two resort-style pools, a 9,000-square-foot clubhouse, a 1,500-square-foot fitness center, 1,500 square feet of coworking space, two pickleball courts, a 1.4-acre dog park, an expansive trail system and multiple community courtyards.

OHT anticipates delivering the first residences in the first quarter of 2028 and completing the community in the fourth quarter of 2028.

The Barton project team includes Developer/General Contractor OHT Partners and Architect Meeks + Partners.
