The Frisco planning board okayed a Trader Joe ’s-anchored mixed-use project, and next week the town council will vote on the plan. Community Impact reports the proposed development would include a 12,500-square-foot Trader Joe’s and a 158-unit senior living facility, along with other mixed-use elements.

It would be located at the southwest corner of Majestic Gardens Drive and Main Street. The property was originally zoned for retail, office and single-family residential uses. The 9.4-acre development would include a 3.22-acre site for Trader Joe’s and 6.18 acres for the senior living facility.

The Trader Joe’s store and senior living facility will be constructed in a single phase. The senior living facility cannot open until Trader Joe’s opens. Neither project has a construction timeline or contractor.

The proposed Trader Joe’s mixed-use development will be considered by the Frisco City Council Oct. 6.
